Celebration of
the past
With aged photographs of my mother as a starting point, the
present is seen as a projection of the past. This introspective
body of work is an expression of the values she inspired in me
through the years, the unfading beauty of her gentle spirit.
As she would always re-shape her clothing to fit her unassuming
character and her petite frame, I have endevoured to explore off-set
modified shapes. Recreating the pattern pieces seen in
the photographs, they act as foundation on which the designs
are re-worked and built upon.

Glimpse into
the future
Based on the concept of memory, the project aimed to reimagine modesty. Exploring new silhouettes that appear intentionally modified, it represents a protest against dictating trends which focus on glamour and sex-appeal instead of the individual. Subtly nostalgic, the collection remains feminine and delicate, gaining a modern feel through silhouettes, colour and fabric choices.
SILHOUETTE
Long and loose outlines, discretely shaped through folding or cut. The body is divided vertically to exaggerate its length.
COLOUR
A sense of harmony is achieved by balancing earthy colours in luxurious fabrics, paired with crisp white for a fresh yet artisanal approach. Colour pallete includes pristine, french grey, thistle, river pearl, wisteria-purple and white.
